Ghost cat messing with Dreama
Well, just when we thought Ghost Cat had left the premises, she appears again.
Last night Dreama was playing Tiger Woods 2004 while I was on the PC. She tells me Ghost Cat is back. She was playing and something tugged at the controller wire. She looked down expecting to see Missy (Our flesh and bone cat). She dismissed it for a moment and then, tug tug. She looks down expecting to see Missy again and realizes it must be Ghost Cat.
So, I guess our etheric fur ball is still roaming the premises. It's so cool having a ghost and not being afraid of it. *Breaks into personally edited version of Ghost Buster tune*

Ghost Cat is a white Persian
Dreama has been opening up to actually seeing Ghost Cat out of the corner of her eyes. Her latest report was in the tag board there. She further elaborated, relaying to me how she jumped out of the closet and into bed with me.
I have been feeling her around, jumping up on and down off the bed in the wee hours of the morning. Seems I am more aware of her presence in those twilight moments just prior to and returning from Dreamtime.
I have taken to leaving the video camera on, on night shot to try and catch the furry, etheric little bugger on film. I have to watch through the second attempt. Each one is a two long boring shot of me sleeping. I figure if I don't catch her, maybe I'll at least catch my own astral self leaving on my nightly journeys. Either way, it would be really cool.
I'll try and update here more often. I'll leave you all with a thought that has occured to me more than once. "If there was a way for me to help her make the transition from the earth plane to another realm of existence, do you think I should do that? I feel almost guilty when I think that perhaps that is why she is here. Then there are some other thoughts I'll share with you about this in the near future. A couple of my astral projections have included two astral cats hanging about. Check that out in the Astral Awareness blog.

A quick ghost cat update...
The last couple of weeks ghost cat has been around alot...She keeps jumping up on the bed...
Looking forward to getting new film for camera so we can try and catch her on nightshot...

| Thanks for popping by Star Child...You, DG and all the other Cat Lovers and observers are always welcome in Ghost Cat's haunts...BTW, do you remember the name of the Ghost Cat book? I'd love to have a gander...And yes I agree with both you and DG about the psychicness of cats...There is much more that I have been subjected to on this matter as I will share now...Thanks again for taking an interest...The neat part about this story is the fact that it is TRUE and continues to develop. I am wondering if it will become possible to actually see her in all her Ghostly Glory? Other than the quick darts in the sides of our eyes... |
Before being stationed in England I was married to a woman who was very psychic herself. When we were in England we adopted two cats. The first was Joey...He was Black with little white paws...*Ah I think as I reminisce*...He started sitting on my shoulder while I would drive as a kitten...Cute little git...hehe...Anyhow, we adopted another kitten a year later. It was obvious that she was a bit envious of me and Joey's close bond so she wanted a cat of her own to bond with.
After awhile of enjoying our furry friends my wife opened up enough to tell me some things that she wasn't sure I would take to well...She told me that her brother could astral project into her cats and check up on her. I found this to be rather unbelievable at the time. Not long after sharing her fantastic tale of her brother's antics I was watching my wife's feline companion one day. I had to check myself to ensure I was awake as I watched her eyes change. My wife had asserted that this was how she knew if her brother was there or not...
I know this all sounds very fantastic and strange, but I met her brother a little over a year later during the time my wife and I were separating...He affirmed his ability and I intuited the truth of his statements. (The not-so-funny part of all this is that I really didn't care much for my wife's cat. As a mater of fact, sometimes I had very intense negative emotions when in her company) I would really love to hear any thoughts you all have on this or similar stories...

Sorry to but in but just to agree with dreamgazer about cat’s being psychic. My cat will often become aware of something or someone in the room that I can not see.
I.e. we are in the living room, I am on the sofa and she is curled up on my lap. Suddenly she stares at the door in the same way she does when a person enters. She'll follow this thing around the room with her eyes. This only happens in my room and the living room. She gets very tense when what ever it is walks in on us. After it goes she curls up on my lap and goes back to sleep... very odd.
But about your ghost cat, I had read a book with a ghost cat in it... maybe the person who wrote the book had a similar experience. But ghost cat makes a good story anyway!

Missy had just finished eating after letting her in as I returned from the grind...
She lays down by the front door and...  "OMG, Seth, what is wrong with Missy?"
Missy is laying and pumping her rear legs furiously as if trying to push away another cat...It's a playful and yet freaky looking gesture. Dreama is worried she is having a seizure...LOL...
I look over from my place behind the computer and watch for a bit. "She's just playing with Ghost Cat," I say nonchalantly. Having had many cats in my past and watching them play in such a manner I am sure this is the case.
She gets up and starts swatting at our invisible friend, chasing her around in close confines. It becomes obvious that she is indeed playing with Ghost Cat as she continues batting at her. Ghost Cat was playing with Missy's tail...Something she doesn't appreciate in the slightest.
This is the second time Missy has played with her is such a way I am informed by Dreama. Last wednesday night she did the same thing as I was stealthing through the cyber jungles of SOCOM, US Navy Seals on my PS 2.
I am wondering if it is becoming necessary to make a run to the Reservation and purchase some White Sage. I haven't smudged our home in some time and think perhaps it is overdue...I have an inner debate going on as to how Ghost Cat will react to the smudging...Perhaps burning some sweet grass after that will appease her?

Well, I have neglected this thread and logging our experiences with Ghost Cat for far too long. I'll try to do better in the future.
Well, since the last post, Ghost Cat has made a multitude of visits. Twice Dreama has gotten her pants off to hang them up...While holding them to prepare and put them on the hanger, Ghost Cat has grabbed them with her claws and pulled at them. Thankfully none of the threads have come loose, although I secretly wish they would...LOL...
Ghost Cat seems to like and curl up behind the nook of my knees when I am part awake and am going back to sleep. I can feel her do that circle and claw the bed in preparing her comfy spot for laying down...It is quite strange and yet I am not frightened of it at all. Actually quite the opposite. I am kind of comforted by knowing she is there.
This morning, Missy, our physically manifested cat...LOL...was left inside when Dreama went to work...She got up on the bed and was meowing to beat the band as usual...Wanting my attention...The stinker...So I petted her and watched as she kept looking around at the oddest places as if she was seeing something I could not...After a few minutes of this she jumped off the bed. She jumped back up a few minutes later and curled up in front of my belly, (Not where Ghost Cat lays) and slept the rest of the morning with me.
One time Dreama had commented off-handedly that Missy is jealous of Ghost Cat....Hmmmmm...It just keeps getting better and better...
This morning I was reflecting on the fact that I am not afraid of Ghost Cat and wondered if this is in preparation of some other spiritual contact yet to come...I don't know if you have perused my Spirit and Etheric Entities thread, but there is an experience I recorded there about a spirit (SETH, I believe) that I saw in a motel in Tuscon, Arizona...I was very freaked and asked God to make it go away...I inferred that I wasn't ready yet...Hmmmm...Preparations of the Ghost Cat nature...Who knows? Dreamgazer Speaks...5/16/02
Wow!!!!! Sorry for butting in on your journal, but I also have the same experience in a way. One of my cat's, the female, which has been my dream partner for about 6 or 7 years now, (time flys!) normally sleeps curled up under my chin. Every now & then my husband will kick her out of the bedroom, because she will scratch on the closet door in the middle of the night. Several times I swear I feel her jump back on the bed, curl up under my chin & pur away, only she is not there when I open my eyes.
I believe cats are very psychic, & yes I do believe they can project just like we do. Dog's too for that matter!!! LOL
Or then again itjust may be your sweet kitty.......

Since my last entry Dreama has had two more sightings of Ghost Cat. I just felt her jump on the bed last night when I had tried to retire. I was edgy and unable to sleep. Just as I was about to give up, *thump* up onto the bed Ghost Cat did land. She immediately laid down and I could feel her shape at the bottom of my feet. I got up without disturbing her and went to the computer to try and post some stuff. I wanted to try and get back to sleep and went back to bed right away. Looks like Ghost Cat isn't going away anytime soon. I still wonder if it is AStral Missy...?
I have gone back in my mind to a time when my mother had a sweet little kitty. She took to me immediately. I spent the weekend there and the kitty slept on my chest pratically right under my chin. A few nights after I had returned home I was in that twilight moment between Dreamtime and WCR. I felt the kitty laying right where she did when I was visiting my mom. I called my mom a few days later and she told me the kitty had got out and didn't come back. I wonder if her visit was astral or etheric. I also have been wondering if our astral/ghost cat is the kitty, astral and all grown up or ?

Ghost Cat Strikes again 2/28/02

I was chatting with Hal and Qki last night while Dreama was watching a movie in the bedroom. Suddenly, Dreama says Ghost Cat just jumped up on the bed and laid down. Missy was outside so I stepped out to see whether she was asleep or not. She was in her cathouse and appeared to be asleep. I reached in to pet her and she woke up. I returned to the chat.
A few minutes later she scratched at the door to be let in. After I let her in she immediately ate some food. While she ate I told Dreama "I would freak out if she jumped up on the bed and laid down in the same place."
After she ate she jumped up on the bed and laid down in the same exact place that Dreama felt Ghost Cat.
Seems to be a vote for Astral (Missy) Cat. The only thing is we have seen Ghost Cat dart around out of the corner of our eyes while Missy was awake...Hmmmmm
